GOOD STORIES HAVE A RHYTHM

Give each photo
its moment.

The order makes the difference between a collection and a story.

Start with a little context.

A wide view, a place or a scene-setting photo helps your audience understand where they are. Then move closer to the people or details that matter.

Choose one organizing idea.

For a trip, follow the days or destinations. For a project, show the starting point, the work and the result. For a celebration, group photographs by moments or chapters.

Make room for contrast.

Alternate wide scenes with details. Give especially meaningful photos their own moment, and remove repetitive images that do not add to the story.

Check filenames when sorting.

When using filename order, a consistent prefix such as 001, 002 and 003 makes the intended sequence easier to read. Review the final thumbnail order before importing.

Finish deliberately.

Choose a closing image that feels complete. Then preview the whole sequence once, from the audience’s point of view.
